Yes I can believe this. I imagine that they can't understand how a "young" woman can afford to spend that much when they at "over 40/50" probably couldn't. So yea I can see them assuming things were fishy. However, I provided reasons, I thought, paying bills with debit but I gave up on it. It was just a good way to get extra spend on my 2x card. I will just keep milking my other 5x cards to make up for it.
Normally I would call you out on thinking it was your gender, but those old ladies really love selling me stuff (younger guy.) They're like the grandmas I never had.
