There, I fixed it for you.
Having seen a business I helped found get driven into the ground by a union I cannot express enough just how much I dislike unions. (I had to write the previous sentence 8-10 times to expunge all the 4 letter words).
From the perspective of the employee, especially in non-right to work states, I cannot imagine anything more grievous than being *FORCED* to contribute a portion of my paycheck to some pantywaiste jackhole who was going to make my employer resent me.
I realize that it's impractical in the air travel industry, but I generally try to avoid spending money with unionized businesses.
Also, as regards advising employees of their rights in regards to unions, it's definitely not illegal. To the extent that unions have historically been able to get legislation that allows them to muzzle the free speech of their opponents, I too would wear it as a badge of pride to be told that my speech was illegal. As one of my lawyers like to say, the only cure for bad speech (like union organizers) is more speech, not a restriction on speech.
In conclusion, I'll definitely thumbs up any Delta employees I see wearing the pin. And if they're wearing a D pin and an IAM pin, then I'll report them as being out of uniform (damned union sympathizer).
