With my last churn of 3 cards I went from 1 hard pull to 4 hard pulls and dropped my credit score from 759 to 742 (good)! I am in the planning process to take 6 to Hawaii in May and I need to start building hilton points. I have the points for the flights. How long before my credit recovers the 8 points I need to get back to excellent? I've researched this forum but haven't gotten a feel for how long it takes for these hard pulls to drop off....Thank you!
I don't know about how long it takes for them to drop off, but I do my rounds every 90 days and my score rebounds typically to a point or two higher than 3 months earlier. If you're not using Credit Sesame or Credit Karma yet check them out, you can see a graph of your score which is fun to watch the valleys and peaks when you apply and then rebound. That is if you like graphs like me
