If DL has a better product, optimizing revenue could easily mean flying aircraft with more business class seats than DL's competitors use, especially given that DL doesn't do IFC.

I don't think DL will increase upgrade inventory, that would be foolish. What I do hope is that DL will use un-sold BE seats as an opportunity to further drive revenue with HVCs either as upgrade fees, SWUs, Mileage Extraction, etc. vs. letting the cabins go out with a heavy non-rev load.

Paying customers first.
