A very good point actually as I think in economy this is fair game, its not fair for an elite to block willing fare payers from getting the best seats unless the elite is willing to buy the seat.
However for me I think this should not apply to business and first class
as I never have to fly economy class.
This is never the case for J and F class for exit rows - well only the 74A and 74K is applicable. However bassinet seats are a different block.
