on another line,
pinot noir champagne has become quite available in the dc area. very smooth, i really like the wine for an appertief, and i really like the price (us$20). only place i saw it regularly before was in saintsbury, at about 12 lbs english.

nicholis feuellente 40-40-20 chard is around for $20 a bottle. finally too much wine to hold. the prices are coming down big time.
