I was going to ask to be considered for an upgrade. Would it be advisable to call the Platinum line to request this since at this late date it does not appear I will get this email.

I got the virtual concierge emails for every stay I booked in Hong Kong earlier this year, but for only one of my USA stays. So, I guess it's one of those YMMV things.
