That's a 6.2% increase in clerks, in one year, to handle a 1.5% increase in traffic. This doesn't account for the massive increases in the rest of the system.
Now they purport the world coming to an end because they might have to live without 2,600 of clerks (0.4%) that they want to hire this FY.
Not to mention over 100+ BSX are scheduled to be gone by June - that means at least one less closeted ogler per checkpoint, one more pair of hands and eyes potentially available to service pax.
