Do they think I am totally stupid or something? Hopefully nothing will ever happen to my poor Ooma, or my "lifetime free" phone service will suddenly start costing more than I bargained for.
yeah, I just got the same email today too. Doesn't really make ANY sense, pay 99$, but start paying about 7$ a month in taxes and fees. Now, granted that is very low but still I don't pay anything on the two ooma hubs that I have now. I DO pay for premier (locked in at 99$ a year) but only so I can continue to use a scout and second number, and do like some of the features I get.

There USED to be a path for HUB owners to ove to a TELO hub, but remain in the same T&C's ala no taxes or local service charges.

Honestly, lately I've been using the line about 7-10 hours a day, including BOTH lines so I'm truly getting my monies worth.

I DO have a third ooma, already activated and ready to use as a backup if any of these current two fail, but not sure if number porting would work, but at this point in the worlds history with google voice numbers etc., it really doesn't matter.
