And based upon what I've read here, I guess it probably still is useless to try to get Customer service to correct this for the time being?
Did the $10 show back up on your credit card? I also noticed on my award cancellations the miles post as a credit on the day you initially took the award not the day you canceled it. I'd check the detailed activity section.
