Champagne must be a tricky issue for Delta as you have people who generally enjoy it and are knowledgable about it, especially vs sparkling wine. On the other hand, you have American kettles who are on the trip of a lifetime (on a 757!) and demand champagne to complete their VIP experience, yet couldn't tell you the difference between Crémant de Home Depot or Veuve. There is limited space in the carts for something that goes unused.
Oh, I'd gladly pay to see someone make a decent mojito in-flight. I'm just not holding my breath, with TSA probably refusing to permit a muddler on-board (
looks too much like a baseball bat).
