Champagne must be a tricky issue for Delta as you have people who generally enjoy it and are knowledgable about it, especially vs sparkling wine. On the other hand, you have American kettles who are on the trip of a lifetime (on a 757!) and demand champagne to complete their VIP experience, yet couldn't tell you the difference between Crémant de Home Depot or Veuve. There is limited space in the carts for something that goes unused.
Oh trust me, I can certainly tell the difference!

Whenever I want to ask for something - anywhere - and at first I feel potentially embarrassed by the question, there's usually a way to rephrase the question so it sounds totally different!

You are completely right. I don't know why, but every once in awhile, my insecurities as a youngster get the better of me and I just cannot seem to open my mouth and ask for what I'd like without fear of being embarrased when the answer is no.

After that we went to screwdrivers anyway.. love those 8am flights getting drunk in F!!

I'm not looking to have champagne/sparkling wine available the entire flight, but it would certainly be nice to have a little something bubbly to toast the beginning of our vacation with!
