I am a 1K MM; she is 1K courtesy of my status.

I assume that this is because her outbound was in T while mine was in K. If this is correct, it is ridiculous.
OK, I have to concede that I was wrong on this. Priority goes by status then by booking code. T > K regardless how small the cost differential.

As a 1K since 2004, I should have known better. Perhaps I am spoiled by the 90+% domestic upgrade success I have enjoyed as a 1K. On most of my flights, I have been at or near the top of the upgrade list; on this flight, according to the mobile website and app, there must be at least 11 1K/GS pax ahead of me, with booking codes > K.

On a related note, my seat in row 7 suddenly switched to row 12 tonight. I called the (former?) 1K line and was told by the mystified agent that he saw me in Row 12 on the seat map but in row 7 on the flight manifest. (I had always assumed that flight manifests were a day of flight creation, but this flight is 48 hours away.) The seat map now shows my original seat as vacant, but he was unable to reconcile the two. He claimed that the seating on the manifest would ultimately prevail; I hope he is right.
