but in scanning the first post to see what was updated and when, it makes it easier for me.

I would go further... and suggest that they stop "updating" the first post, rather, append new information each time (to the top, perhaps), even if it involves some duplication.

Otherwise, impossible to tell what has changed. Sometimes, it looks like only the timestamp has been touched...
