Well, two of the three AA cards I have already have 2 miles per AA $1 spent
for the first 12 months I have the card. I presume this announcement means that I'll continue to have 2 miles per AA $1 spent past that, but it's not absolutely clear.
Also, how do I tell if I have a Visa Platinum Select? I applied with AWAY7 offer a few months ago, and got an Amex and a Visa, and the Amex says Select at the bottom but the Visa just says Platinum Level at the bottom and then Visa Signature a few lines above.
The fact that they are identifying which cards qualify with wording that doesn't match what's on the actual cards makes it confusing IMHO.
(By the way, the Chase Priority Club Select Visa I mentioned in the message above also doesn't say Select on the card itself, but I definitely have a Select card. Does Visa ever put the word "Select" on a card?)
