It's been noted that as an elite, the free bag and priority boarding are moot. But one other thought - for those of us who have been buying the Costco gift cards at 10% off face value, the double mile benefit also won't help. It'll be good for those few tickets that may not qualify for gift card purchase, ancillary fees, and on board purchases, but the bulk of my AA spending will still be going via Costco.
