I flew EWR-MCO-EWR over the weekend and the pilot on both flights said something like "You are being served by a Continental crew.". The word "former" was not used.
I agree that it seems a bit childish, and I heard laughter (not the gleeful kind, but the sarcastic kind) coming from a few passengers in both instances.
It sort of reminds me of high school and the "our school is better than your school" mentality.
I was a member of CO Onepass since 1987, and I do miss CO, but I am able to move on. I hope they are able to do the same.
