Chicken Pho is one of the hardest Pho to master, when done right, it's a bowl of heaven, the clear broth, lime leaf, the chicken aroma, it's purest in it's original form. I haven't found many Pho places in the US that can make a decent bowl of Pho Ga (chicken). That is probaly one of the reasons that its not as popular as Pho Bo (beef). Pho Ga is actually originated from Hanoi, the birth place of Pho, so if you ever get a chance, don't miss it.

In San Francisco, there are 2 northern Pho restaurants that make a good bowl of Pho Ga, Quan Bac on Geary and Turtle Tower on Larkin. Try it, you may not go back to Pho Bo (beef).
