A huge thank you to Shannon/UA Insider for keeping us all informed during the transition.
A bunch of errors on the new site worth pointing out:
1) The page about the airport upgrade standby list seems to be left over material about the old Continental program, and is thus riddled with errors:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...andby_FAQ.aspx
For example, there is no mention of 1K upgrades; I think the companion upgrade information is incorrect; and the page implies that SFO-HNL flights (or any other West Coast flights to HNL other than from LAX) are not eligible for CPU. There is also no exclusion of ps flights from CPU. Finally, there is a reference to no upgrades on award tickets, which is (a) not true for certain credit card holders, and (b) this same sentence appears twice with the text "delete extra space" inserted when it appears the second time.
2) As best I can tell, the upgrade mileage and co-pay information located at
http://united.com/web/en-US/apps/mil...27A9B20CDA7F12
is correct; however, if you click on the link at the top of that page to see the pdf chart listing all the mileage/co-pays in one place, it takes you to an outdated chart (with the Continental OnePass name) with all the old Continental info (e.g., no references to upgrading from Business to First, etc.)
3) If you want to look at the chart listing the Star Alliance Upgrade Award amounts from the following page:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...rade/saua.aspx
clicking on that link mistakenly takes you to the same OnePass chart referenced in #2 above.
4) Also related to Star Alliance Upgrade Awards, clicking on the link on this page entitled "Star Alliance Upgrade Awards":
https://pss.united.com/web/en-US/con...e/default.aspx
instead takes you to a page about Star Alliance benefits other than upgrade awards.
5) On this page:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...grade/mua.aspx
regarding the Premier co-pay waiver, the text reads:
"Non-Premier members are exempt from the co-pay when traveling on the same reservation as a Premier member or when sponsored using miles from a Premier member’s MileagePlus account. The co-pay will be charged for members sponsored by a Premier member who is not traveling on the same reservation."
Now it's late here so maybe I am just confused, but don't those last two sentences contradict each other about whether non-premieres sponsored by a Premier member but not on the same reservation will be charged a co-pay?
6) Very small issue -- on this page about Global Premier Upgrades:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...wupgrades.aspx
under the section entitled "Confirmation Priority", the second sentence references Regional Premier Upgrades when talking about the 24-hour cutoff. Obviously, this text was cut and pasted from the RPU page.
7) When you go to the "Flight Status Notification Subscription" section of your email settings, and ask for texts to be sent to your cell phone, it says "This feature is available to T-Mobile customers". I think this is a mistake, I am not T-Mobile and I am pretty sure I have gotten texts from CO before. Or is that just a plug for T-Mobile, since it doesn't expressly say other carriers aren't eligible?
8) On the following page about Mileage Plus awards generally:
https://pss.united.com/web/en-US/con...vel/types.aspx
there are several references to an "award fee chart" (for fees for ticketing less than 21 days, flight changes, redeposits, etc.) with a direct link to that chart, but clicking on the "award fee chart" link instead brings you to the outdated chart referenced in #2 above, which gives you only (incomplete) information about co-pays, and not about award fees.
