I switched to my now expired 1K card with my old UAMP# and the US system printed out new boarding pass with my old UAMP# and *G.
I just put in my new number online to print out my US boarding pass -- pass does not show me as Star Gold, and put me in Boarding Zone 5.
US phone agent was clueless on how to solve -- said he could not un-check me in and replace new MP number with my old one. He told me to take it up with airport counter agent.
In US OLCI you should be able to update the FFN and print the boarding pass again. It used to be that it showed UA status levels by name (so you'd have "CO Star Silver", but "UA Premier"). Wonder if it still does...
