Good luck...and I truly feel for you. The "you paid for transporation, not a seat" is BS in my book.
I have had the same thing happen to me (seats getting changed due to A/C swap) on PMUA as well. On one itinerary the PMUA seat system pulled me out of my E+ bulkhead aisle seat in put me in an E- middle seat. It did it three times in about a week.
This was on a 8 hour TATL flight.
