Hi bmvaughn, until our systems are integrated, everything will continue to work as is does today. After that, we'll handle the mapping of account numbers for quite some time. For example, if a car company sends us your Mileage Plus number for a rental you’ve made, we’ll have this mapped to your new number for earning purposes. That said, you’ll be safe to change your number with any partners as well (but, only after our transition to a single system takes place).

Appreciate you sharing this GoAmtrak,. Since we’re not yet on a single system, between now and late first quarter of next year you can continue to use your Mileage Plus account number in cases like this. We’re diligently working with all of our partners to ensure any required changes are made to their systems as well. We’ll make sure this one is on our radar.

Your account number

Because your MileagePlus and OnePass accounts are linked, your OnePass account number above will become your MileagePlus number on March 3, and your 11-digit MileagePlus number will be retired. Your OnePass username will carry forward as well.

A one-time grant of MileagePlus award miles equivalent to your OnePass reward miles balance will be added to your MileagePlus account. We will do the same with elite qualifying activity and upgrades.
Your 11-digit MileagePlus account number is still valid and will remain valid for a short while after March 3.
Any reservations that include your 11-digit MileagePlus number will be automatically updated with the account number above — you won't miss out on any miles.
After March 3, be sure to update your profiles with partners, travel managers and travel agencies — wherever your 11-digit MileagePlus number is stored.
If you have a MileagePlus credit card, continue to use it as you always have. The miles you earn will continue to credit to your account, even though your MileagePlus account number has changed.
If you have a OnePass credit card, continue to use it as well. The miles you earn will continue to credit to your eight-character account number, even though it is now a MileagePlus account
