I do not derive the pleasure I used to from reading or posting in this forum anymore. Is it just me? Any good information is now diluted in endless nonsense. Replies to one's own replies, endless cross-referencing of threads, the same name coming up time and again in every single thread, bringing a post up for no apparent reason, etc.
I posted this in this thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum50/HTML/002520.html a month ago.

Oh well.

Building on Larry U's suggestion, how about a feature limiting the # of posts/day? I do not see a Freedom of Speech issue here (this is not a government entity), Flyertalk can make its own rules. It would force some people to be more thoughtful in their comments perhaps, and would bring the quality of the posts up.
