I would imagine that it is pretty easy to be accomodated by ANY company that screws up and wants to do something to make amends with a customer, so I think its up to you to decide which one you want to use.
I can only tell you that I decided to get a personal account with Dial 7 because they have always provided great service for me (as an individual).
They actually do offer the "meet & greet" service at the airport...all you have to do is ask for it. And yes, it's a little extra, but ALL of the car service companies charge you extra for having their drivers park their vehicles. The other option (which is easier pending on your sense of direction at the airport) is to just call them when you get your luggage, and they will direct you to your vehicle. The driver is usually circling the airport, since the police no longer let vehicles wait curbsibe for more than 5 minutes.
AND THEY OFFER DISCOUNT COUPONS...so as an "individual" that uses a car service to get to/from the airport, as well as throughout NYC, I vote for Dial 7.
Both have on line coupons everywhere. I've had good experiences with both. If you do not have checked luggage, if you call them while the plane is pulling up to the gate the time you get to the curb they should arrive or shortly thereafter. Cars are always clean and drivers presentable (more than I can say about NYC taxis and taxi drivers.) Also, never any problems on pick up. Always arriving before pick up time or a few minutes afterwards at the most.
