The Holiday Inn on Bloor has a nice location but - it is very disappointing to the guests I've known who stayed there (I haven't been inside so I can't say from experience). We gave up on it after people refused to visit if they had to stay there. Instead, we use the 3.5* bid on Priceline and get a much better hotel for less. Honest.
