Allstate stated THAT? I never would have recommended them if I had known. What did Carmel say? I would assume the same as Dial 7?

As dstan said above, try booking online to avoid the markup. Also look for online coupons. Or perhaps by now, you've already landed in EWR and have taken care of or completed your transportation needs already.
