Are the CR1s - oneway or RT upgrades?

With these new CR1s, CO is going back to the late 1980s when you earned upgrade certificates every 5K or 10K miles depending on level. CO eventually simplified the process with EUA.

I guess CR1s are electronic counts in your account - so once the software is in place it is automatic (ie - no paper coupons).

But with all the new levels and now the CR1s plus the Y/B/M ups, upgrades are going to get harder to get. People on cheap fares will use their CR1s, those on more expensive codes will likely hope for EUA/UDU.
