You know why Papa Johns pizza is so good? Their sauce is loaded with sugar. I am friends with a store manager. Trust me, I used to love their pizza.
I have changed my ways. I was a major diabetic on insulin for 18 years. Today I am thinner, healthier, and not on meds at all. No, I didn't have bariatric surgery. I did it through diet and working out at a gym.
I used to weigh 300 pounds. Through Weight Watchers and exercise, I've lost almost 100 pounds. I've kept it off for almost 18 months now. I will still enjoy the occasional McDonald's hamburger or Culver's frozen custard or milkshake or even a nice beer or ale.
I don't eat the way I used to, no, but *no* food is verboten. It's all moderation and portion control.
Like I said upthread, for some reason having a hamburger at TGI Friday's is OK for a lot of people, but make it a McDonald's QPC and it's somehow evil. Even though the Friday's burger is bigger and likely has twice the calories and fat....
McDonald's would not advertise their meat as 100% USDA Grade A beef unless it was. Period.
