Hello Mr. Radioinstl:

Full-service hotels should deliver a newspaper to your room, provided you have a newspaper preference on your MR profile. Select-service brands, such as Courtyard, Residence Inn, etc., are required only to make papers available in the lobby.

I have to qualify that response a little by saying it's possible this particular hotel is part of a small test market that's trying out a different policy, but if so I'm not aware of it. As far as I know, they should delivery a paper to your room if you have it on your profile.

I'm sorry for the confusion; please let me know if you have any other questions.

I was at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta for 6 nights. On the days I should have had a paper, only twice did I not have to call to get the WSJ delivered despite that being in my profile. On check-out, I complained about this problem and was told that the hotel ONLY delivers News-lite. I told the clerk I thought that was totally insufficient for a "Marquis" hotel. She meekly agreed.
