I definitely missed that part. Am I correct assuming that HH did not introduced a new Category, as they had seven prior to the change?
Let see if my new calculation holds:
My GLON2 (current: 6 nights in Cat 5) for 150K HH points will be replace to 180K (30K x 6) which is an increase by 20%. This brings an unpleasant devaluation to part of my points, but in all fairness: This is covered by one free night at a current category 5 hotel. As I said before: There might be another redemption option which I possibly will choose: Points discount for four or five reward nights.
Will Hilton HH lose part of my loyalty? For the most part I stay at Hampton Inns (still 1K miles in BMI’s FFP) and are satisfied with this brand. If they will offer competitive rates in the future as they did in the past, I don’t change ships.
