Did you miss the part where all "opportunity" hotel become category 1, all category 1 become cat. 2... all category 6 become category 7 ? It was confirmed in the other thread by HiltonHonorsRepresentative.

So you current category 4 hotel (worth 22 500/night) will be a cat 5 and cost 26 250, a 16,7% loss instead of the 10% gain you're expecting.
