To get to Clarendon, you'd exit the GW Parkway at the Spout Run Parkway, turn left onto Lee Hwy, then turn right on Highland, continue south to Wilson Blvd., and look for parking.

Without knowing where in Alexandria you'd be coming from, it's hard to give directions or estimate distances. It's definitely true that anywhere in Alexandria is closer to both venues than Germantown would be. Hope this helps.
