Unless you pre-heat the mugs, the coffee gets cold pretty quickly. I guess the ceramic absorbs heat easily.
The galley FA on my flight last week filled all of the mugs with hot water to warm them before pouring in the coffee. Nice touch...I guess it helped.
This is actually what we are trained to do... the half day they actually devote to F service in training, as opposed to the other 4 1/2 weeks we spend on safety/security...
