TSO's around the country catch on the average 40 guns on the checkpoint per week. Most with ammo, some without. And inevitably the passenger says that they forgot it was in the bag. Some get arrested, some don’t, many are off duty LEO’s traveling for personal reasons.

Rarely do any of these incidents receive media attention. Channel 6 does not have reporters and cameras prepositioned at every checkpoint. But you can read the numbers on the TSA web site if you are interested. And I can’t tell you how many knives we find each week. Thousands maybe. And none of these are “red team” tests. So your reasoning is in error, faulty. But that won’t be enough for you and I know it. The proof is in the pudding, but all you can see is a box.
