It's not a problem, unless you have to walk 30 feet to find a spot to place your carry-on.. This is notorious in the regionals, very small overhead space and it fills up rather quickly. If I miss an upgrade, I want to be on the plane quickly so I can place my carry-on in a close overhead-bin, and relax for a second..
