I do sympathise with you, but you're flogging a dead horse. Simple supply & demand - enough people are willing to pay the $ for F or R that the airline sees no need to sell at A prices.

That's not a good analogy. At no time have you been confirmed on a QF A380 service in F. Therefore they've never sold you that burger.

You've purchased a ticket which allows you to reserve an A class seat (if one is available), on the routing of your ticket. In this case, there is no A seat available. You mentioned the reason - it's a key route!

I would suggest that you hope two things; 1. that an A seat opens up which you can switch to at some point, and 2. that revenue management keep doing their job so the airline is actually still in business, & flying the route when you want to travel!
