Response Regarding Hilton

Thank you for contacting US Airways.

Yes, all Hilton Hotels are included in the 'Everything Counts'
promotion. If you go to usairways.com website, you will see that the
logo's for Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hilton Grand Vacations are
all
separately listed. In the event of any problem, I have commented your
account that I spoke to our support desk and they have verified the
Hilton is included.

Thanks for getting this issue sorted out and posting the response.
Gives me peace of mind for requalifying for CP as I am only a few miles short and that will get me there in the next two weeks

Talking Hilton symbol now listed !!

The Hilton symbol (Regular Hiltons) was included in the promo tonight and the issue is therewith resolved. All Hilton Hotels will count for the promo! Happy travels to everyone and sometimes our questions and concerns are having an impact on the folks in Tempe.

T&C at the bottom of the page say "Bonus miles for this offer do not count toward Preferred status". I guess the Club does not count as "everything". I think a previous poster said that an agent said these miles would count towards preferred status. Who wants to bite the bullet and sign up and see if they count towards preferred status?

Something tells me that flowers will be a very common gift in this year's FlyerTalk Secret Santa.

Let's see here:

Monthly flowers to 3 Secret Santas = 36,000 miles
Monthly flowers to my wife = 12,000 miles
Monthly flowers to my mom and mom-in-law = 24,000 miles
Monthly flowers to my 2 travel agents = 24,000 miles
and something nice to Randy Petersen to round it out....

CP for less than $5000 and no flight revenue to US... Priceless...

I can see the coupon connection threads now...

"Everything Counts" should be "A lot of stuff counts"

I am betting that the Club renewals/joins do not count. It specifically says they won't on the Club page and they are not mentioned at all on the Everything Counts page. I think at the beginning, the agents were confused by the title of this promotion (as was I). A bunch of stuff counts but not everything.

In the T&C's, specifically included are ADD miles "(4) Base, Bonus, and Airline Direct Deposit (ADD) miles earned through qualifying partners are included in this promotion."

So, if I read this correctly, if I cash in 30,000 Marriott points for 10,000 Dividend miles (0r 70,000 points for 25,000 miles), these will count towards preferred status?

I would say no, as you left off the last sentence: "(4) Base, Bonus, and Airline Direct Deposit (ADD) miles earned through qualifying partners are included in this promotion. Bonus flight miles on US Airways and our airline partners and hotel transfer miles are not eligible." (emphasis mine)

Those miles do not count. Found that out the hard way last night when we joined. Miles posted this morning.

Help me here, I'm only seeing a max of $459 for 9800 miles for 12months of flowers. Where is this 12,000 that a couple people have mentioned?

Did the CSR even READ my message???

I e-mailed US DM service center hoping for some clarification (and written word that I could hold in their face if things got wishy washy)... sadly, I got a response that makes me wonder if the DM service agent even read my questions:

ME:
I have questions about the Everything Counts DM promotion (found at
usairways.com/everythingcounts).

I am wondering if the 50% flight bonus miles that I earn as a Gold
Member will count toward Preferred Status.

I am also wondering if the 5000 bonus miles for joining the club (found
at http://usairways.com/awa/content/tra...all_promo.aspx)
will count toward preferred status under the everything counts
promotion.

I am wondering if miles earned through Dividend Miles Dining will count
towards preferred status.

Finally, currently I am completing the Dividend Miles Elite Trial and I
am wondering if the everything counts promotion will allow me to count
hotel, rental car miles towards my Elite Trial miles.

Thanks for your prompt response as I want to get right to racking up
some extra miles!
RESPONSE:
Thank you for contacting US Airways.

Miles that count toward Preferred status include actual miles accrued or
the 500-mile minimum flight credit.

Segments that count toward Preferred status include segments flown under
one flight number, regardless of the number of take offs and landings.

Miles and segments must be accrued within the calendar year.

Miles and segments will be earned on paid, qualifying flights operated
by US Airways, our Star Alliance partners and some of our other partner
airlines.

Members must re-qualify each year to retain their membership.

The miles that are actually flown are the only miles that will count
towards Preferred Status, not including Preferred 50% bonus.

We appreciate your continued patronage of US Airways.

So sad...
