I flew Envoy PHL-LHR about a month ago and LGW-CLT two weeks later. I can confirm that the Envoy kit does, in fact, include the socks, eye shades, ear plugs, and L'Occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm Stick and Shea Butter Hand Cream.
Within the pouch, there is also a small advertisement from L'Occitane, marketing their lip balm, lip moisturizer, and hand cream.
Sounds like a win-win for both to me.

They promote their Premium Economy on their website as "...with an increased seat width of 21 inches (equivalent to many other airlines' business class)." The business class seat on LH is only 19.7 inches according to Seat Guru.
In regards to their Upper Class, this is on their website:
.
I have flown Upper Class on VS and First Class on LH and our experiences with on our VS flights were far superior than our LH flights. While the LH First Class Lounge in FRA is very nice it can't compare to the VS Clubhouse in LHR. VS offer limo rides to and from the airport for its Upper Class passengers.
If Upper Class is Business Class than it is much better than most FC products out there.
In regards to their Upper Class, this is on their website:
When you fly Virgin Atlantic Upper Class you get first class service from door to door with complimentary ground transfers

Somewhat off-topic but not worth a separate thread. The US company store has Envoy blankets and Intl F/C duvets for sale, presumably while supplies last. Don't know the retail price, but it's $11.50 for the blanket and $17.50 for the duvet at employee prices. Both are listed as "retired" so have seen use.

Back in 2005, our outbound itinerary had two flights...the first flight, we were in FC and received PJs. The second flight didn't had a FC section but we did receive PJs for that flight while sitting in BC.
