Flew the CO 747-200 many times from EWR to LHR.

Loved the DC10-10s from LAX to HNL with the large lounge between F and Y. And open to all. Bar, open lounge seats, etc.

747-400 killed it all.
I flew the Continental 747 between Houston and Honolulu in 1991. When Continental introduced service between Houston and Tokyo in the 90's, they did it with 747 service that made a stop in Honolulu (you could buy a ticket just to Hawaii and deplane there if you wanted to). Continental also flew a 747 from Houston to LA in the early 90s -- that aircraft would continue on to Seattle before heading on to Tokyo. I always wanted to take that flight to LA but never had the opportunity. Did anyone ever fly it between Houston and LA or between LA and Seattle?

UA1175 & UA724 SFO-HNL-SFO go 777-300 for 9 Aug. 2017 flights.

Just woke up now in Hawaii at 4am and see a text saying seat swap because of an an aircraft swap. Think we went 737...I look at the details and it went to 773! ^^

Since you are 1K I'm assuming you are happy since you'll be upgraded - but for those in economy, it is a very painful experience.......

Nice, that's winning the aircraft swap lottery!

For those in Y, at least it won't be full... right?

Sorry yes I was already in paid F with the 5 other in my fam. I was most worried about my 2.5yo nephew being next to his Mom but the seat swaps did the job on their own just fine.

Isn't the HD Hawaii 777 the same config in Y?

My flight over on Thursday was 100% full and 46 people on the standby list.

Both 777-300 flights will go out 100% full HNL-SFO today, the standby list already exceeds the number of seats available for both flights......

Honolulu is experiencing ultra high record tourism (several years in a row now) and it won't slow down (and even then barely) until after Labor Day......

Ah, I forgot HNL-SFO has flights with the HD 777 config. I usually end up on the 737s to HNL as I don't fly from SFO typically to Hawaii.

Had no idea Honolulu was experiencing that much tourism! (OT but curious: have feelings about the rail project changed with the increased traffic?)

Rail from California to Hawaii might be a bit of a stretch

773 or 772HD. The aft cabin is equally dense.

Managed to position myself into IAD-SFO tomorrow morning (424, 9/12), which got swapped from HD772 to 77W. Every non-nonrev cleared into F. Going to be a fun ride
