Yes but the examples we see here often well exceed the minimum PQDs for 1K. Since there is no (known) minimum PQD for GS then keeping a record does not achieve anything (in terms of achieving a 'target').

Question: What do you think are my chances to get GS in 2016? ^ or

I'll end 2015 with:

PQM: 204K
PQD: $60,192
PQS: 142.5

ORD based / Current 1K (was GS in 2013)

I qualified the first time on spend that was very low compared to the ~$50k/yr that seems like the generally accepted benchmark and then I was kicked out for spending more than $70k two years later so my personal experience says that requalifying is harder. Then again, I was invited by legacy UA and kicked out by Smisek's United Continental, so that likely was also a factor.

How do these data compare to 2013 (when you qualified) and 2014 (when you did not)? That might give you a better idea than flyertalk speculation.

Normally easily, but I speculate that there is a station cap and Im sure it gets filled at ORD. If UA gives away a lot of corporate GS at ORD, you could miss.

Im pulling for you though -thats a lot of segments.

This is one will be interesting. I think it will show what UA wants- overall dollars or rev per mile. You are like two 1k that spends $30k each- nothing that exceptional, except you did it all yourself. How much international with paid J?

A few questions: how do you calculate BIS miles? Is this something United shows on their website under MileagePlus activity? I don't have many miles (relative to others) but I almost always fly Business or First and have only flown United metal this year.

84,110 PQM
$41,456 PQD

I have two more flights to go this year so may end at around $45K PQD for the year.

Any guidance from you experts is greatly appreciated. Thank you
You might want to reconsider where you're buying your tickets. That's an awful lot of money for so few miles. I always buy business class. I'll hit just barely over 100k PQM (after my next flight next week). But I still don't have the $10,000 PQD (again, I will after this next flight).

I flew 106 times this year (75 times in GF,BF, or Domestic F; 30 times in coach) All my GF/BF/F flights were A,D, or Z fares.

I spent a little more $32K in 2012 (became GS in 2013) but back then I was based out of Pittsburgh; I moved to Chicago in Feb 2013. Have been 1K ever since. I'm trying to get a sense of the qualification criteria for ORD based GS members.

My numbers are similar to the previous poster. Most of my travel has been discount business class from Boston to London at $7K-$8K per round trip with one discount F to AMS and a few cheap economy domestic tickets. I'm current at 82,520 with $41K spend. I assume most of your business class flights are domestic if you are just hitting $10K PQD.

Or on non UA star alliance tickets. Otherwise seems implausible.

That is a really efficient use of $/mile. I'm at about $20k for 116k miles, all Y. A once-a-month trip to CVG doesn't help because that is an expensive market. Do you have a corp pricing plan, maybe another avenue for GS?

See where I am year vs year, tax purposes for self-employment, and so I have hard data to use for FT!!

Curious to know where you are based, but in a word, yes.
