UA to Present at 8th Annual Cowen Global Transportation Conference {Announcement?}

This would make sense if it was the announcement for a new business seat (time wise), plus I don't know why they would announce a meeting like that in the newsroom unless it was something big! Keeping my fingers crossed.

And that was just on the first couple of pages of press releases from this year.
They always announce that stuff. It is more for investor relations than consumers. I would not expect anything special to be announced or introduced; it is the wrong forum for such.

Yes, and Laderman/Compton are the "B team", of sorts, as Jeff has periodically presented at these financial industry meetings, especially the annual JPMC aviation conference in New York.
We may get some insight on timing of various initiatives, fleet planning and operational data, but I doubt we will hear anything that can be construed as an "announcement".

this is just kiss the ring...
of those who put Jeff and Co in their job, and who give them their marching orders.
we will hear some "savvy" stuff about capacity cuts, and reducing service and product quality to cut expenses, and how smart UA is to have a sub-80% OT goal/performance, saving all kinds of $$$.
I seriously doubt anything interesting will be announced, but sometimes there is something that comes out that is revealing about what "flyer friendly" real means....
