I actually prefer the non-personalized luggage tags. I don't need everyone in an airport reading my name.
I re-qualified for 1K around June but still haven't received my new credentials. The new website shows my kit has shipped and should arrive in 4-6 weeks. Really? Shipping takes 4-6 weeks? I don't think so.
Not in a rush. I'm done flying UA for the year. Have one flight left and it's a DL award ticket.

In terms of the luggage tag, I never use it - they break way too easily. I would much rather prefer to use something strong and will withstand the tossing around over time.

drink coupons
just got 2015 gold membership packet,id card,luggage tag (mini) and no drink coupons. I guess golds don't get any drink coupons,i was 1K for many years and got used to them. anybody know if this is new policy or have golds and below never been given coupons, thanks

Gold doesn't get drink coupons. Plat gets 5, and 1Ks get 10. Don't know if golds never got coupons, but I don't recall getting them the first year of merger. It's definitely not too new.

Packet came in today. Here is what the 1K included:
One difference: On the drink chits, it now says Not redeemable on premium red and white wine vs. not redeemable on premium beverages for 2014. Also, the 2015 coupons are slightly larger than 2014. Wonder if that will mean we can't use the expired ones in 2015. Both years have the barcode

Mine came in during last week of November...which took me by surprise. But I an after thought prevailed, suggesting that United knows that no matter what I do in next 30 days won't get me to GS (I am sure they know I virtually never fly business/first...unless upgraded)
