It was a couple years ago, but I don't think it was California TPAC. I rarely fly those. More likely ORD/IAD->NRT...might have even been NRT-BKK or vv.

I saw the uncropped version of the photo a few days ago. Notice the difference?
The overhead bins are open and empty. With 1A and 1B occupied, what is the chance the OHB would be open and empty? The person in 1B is wearing that not-found-in-nature color of blue that UA uses for it's uniforms. I would contend that is not a passenger in 1A.

UA could definitely use a thread similar to Delta's. I've got several pictures of socks being aired out in seat back pockets, toenail cutting in seat, etc... That I'm sure I could dig out.
