So the 49ers are boarding a Delta Charter......
I understand it's a competitive bid process that these NFL teams go through for their charters. Dollars are dollars.
But for the sake of employee welfare and community relations, UA with probably 5000-10000 SFO based employees would have the sense to 'do whatever it takes' to make the contract right.
And conversely, the 49ers, always wanting to seem like such a community partner, that they turn their back on the UA staff that roots for the team.
I wonder which airline the Atlanta Falcons charter?
shaking my head.....

Nowadays, it's all about dollars & cents (not sense!) at UA. BTW, UA is still working hard to cut $2B in costs.

Depends on the equipment. There's an old-config 744 out there that only does charters. I've never heard of it being swapped in for regular commercial service.

i would assume it is strictly due to cost. DL seems to have a lot of NFL charters. I know that they fly the Packers, that was an old Northwest contract though.

They appear to charter the Eagles as well, even though of course PHL is a US fortress hub. So DL must have a lock on the NFL.
