Thanksgiving (US-style) Dinner in London?
I'm going to be in London over the Thanksgiving holiday and, while this bothers me none, one of my friends is really hoping that we can find a traditional Thanksgiving dinner somewhere.
Does anyone have any idea of where such a thing might be had?
A restaurant frequented by US expats?
I was hoping to buy him a turkey sandwich and call it a day, but that probably won't fly.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

It's a little early for official announcements from restaurants but from last year:

Wow - great resources! Thanks for the replies.
I guess I will be experiencing a tryptophan-induced coma in the UK this year!

I've been attending the dinner organised by the Benjamin Franklin House for years. Best Thanksgiving dinner outside the States.

Celebrating U.S. Thanksgiving in London - any restaurant tips serving Thanksgiving?
Hi all,
Do you have any recommendations for restaurants in London that serve a Thanksgiving-esque menu on the U.S. holiday? I have done a brief Google search, but would love to hear testimonials and recommendations from you guys.
There is a good chance we will be in London this year at the end of November.
Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest Big Easy... but no matter where you go, please set your bar very low for both quantity and quality compared to what Aunt Mabel and Grandma Dottie make back home.
As an aside, how is an LMGTFY link going to provide testimonials and recommendations from FTers?

I ended up flying out of Heathrow T2 on Thanksgiving last year. As the United lounge was then taking Priority Pass, given the good reviews, I gave it a try. They had a surprisingly good Thanksgiving spread out in the hot food buffet area!
Otherwise, most butchers are able to get a turkey in around then, especially with a few days notice, or most big supermarkets will have them in the freezer if you've time to thaw it out. Book yourself an apartment with a kitchen, and cook your own

Merging with last year's thread on the same topic - still looking pretty current - to keep the information in one place.

I also happen to be in the LHR T2 United Club last Thanksgiving and the turkey dinner looked quite decent.
