The title is clear! Cheapest TK long-haul business? ... excluding positioning flights etc. Obviously, the positioning flight to VNO would be more expensive than to TLL, for someone positioned in TLL!

and yes TK just did, the new lower J fares are seen out of YYZ, and this is not because of exchange rates, the lower fares are $200 cheaper than previous J fares,
YYZ-HKG from $3313 CAD (2500 USD, same as lowest YUL-ICN)
YYZ-NRT/KUL from $3450 CAD
and a few more at $3500 CAD
Again, you can make IST stopover for months. For North American residents, with fares like these along with new penalty introduced for no-show ($75 USD - not sure how this would be implemented), it's no longer worth re-positioning to CAI for cheap fares.

The best J fare I had with TK out of YYZ was YYZ-IST-MRU-TNR. Came in at CAD$2,931 round trip, and is close to 10k miles each way. Historically, I always flew AF for visits to TNR, since *A didn't have any convenient way of getting there, until TK launched their service.

EDIT - Looks like it's closer to CAD$3,800 now. I booked my flights at the beginning of the month for travel in July.
Unfortunately, it's a very long connection in IST, but the price was certainly right.

Booked an AKL-HKG-IST on TK ticket stock but Cathay A350 up/TK to IST and NZ (CX codeshare) back and obviously TK on IST-HKG.
equates to USD3,800 which is incredibly cheap for a business class ticket for us Kiwis. Nice easy connectionsat HKG, too. I think TK has switched its partner to Hong Kong Airlines now since I booked my ticket some 2 months ago.
