I'd vote for Lake Louise, near Banff (Canada).
My favorite river view is probably not exactly a river (although it looked like a river from my vantage point on the tiny island): Guongzhou, China, because of all the various types of boats with colored lights.
For a real river, the Rhein between Koblenz and Mainz, with all the castles.
