Audiofy audiobooks?

Audiofy audiobooks?
Is there software out there that will allow you to backup/extract the chapters out of an Audiofy SD chip? I have several of them but apparently you cannot simply copy them from one chip to another to back them up. I'm a little worried hauling them around country to country as I'm sure they'll get lost or damaged eventually and I'd like to have a backup system.
I've tried copying them to my iPod but can't do so for some reason despite following the instructions on their website. Their CS is working on this for me.

I believe Total Recorder will do it, and there are probably many others.
