Fake Rimowa

I've just purchased 2 Rimowa suitcases on EBay. I'm slightly concerned about their non standard lining. Before I ask the seller directly I wondered if anyone had any thoughts

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=111450289182

Thank you

Fake Rimowa

Apart from the lining... Are there any other clues?

Fake handles, locks, wheels, lining, straps.

Price too good to be true.

Almost all Rimowa Classic Flight pictures I found show the same handle style in the side and in the top (leather both). Yours have leather on the side, plastic on the top.

I'm not a Rimowa expert, but I found it suspicious.

Thanks HMO. I found this http://www.idealo.at/preisvergleich/...er-rimowa.html.

So not strictly true. but thanks. I'm slowly piecing this together. I'ved emailed about the registration number which is purpotedly stamped in the frame under the lining. do you know anything about this?

Nothing in the original post suggests the buyer is concerned they are fakes, just the about the non-standard lining which may be an indicator of fake or not.

The blue Romowa tag is located in a different position.

I also noted this new link show two different sets of wheels, one similar of the eBay's one. ^

And I have no idea about registration #

FYI I'm still 50/50 as the seller has very good ratings and is extremely cooperative in his correspondence. The fact that he sold one of these items just a week ago ( see his feedback) is however adding to my list of questions!!!

No worries OP, take your time. (If UK eBay policy is the same as US) you have a liberal 45 day warranty period.

I rang EBay support today to warn them of my concerns and to seek advice about collecting this from the seller. They were excellent.
