Argh, unforgivable, I did not take a photo of the menu last week.

Plenty of caviar to start with (more for me because the gentleman nearby wanted none). Only one choice for a starter, but it was a nice combo of lobster, foie gras etc.

I do not think there was a soup option before the main course (I usually have hard time declining the soups on other airlines). Three or four mains, none sounded extraordinarily exciting. My duck choice was a spicy Thai style one, just fine. The fish option was Pangasius - did not get considered. The main options felt a bit like in BA F: not bad but far from memorable or truly special.

Thanks, I think I will go with that option.

My wife is not a lobster/seafood fan. Maybe I should just leave my wife to pick from the menu.

Question TG First FRA-BKK

Just curious if anybody had any recent experience with the LH Senator Lounge for departing TG First....

If Star Gold passengers are also allowed access to the Sen Lounge, doesn't it get pretty crowded in there? I'm leaving on the early afternoon flight.

Any other more ideal First lounge options at FRA?

it's the same for FRA, ZRH, CDG etc.
TG F passengers only get access to the pretty lousy Sen lounge or *G, while TG F lounge in BKK hosts F passengers of LH, LX as well (except spa)
and the lounges are very crowded at peak times

Ideal? Probably not. You can go to the LH Business Lounge or the AC Maple Leaf Lounge at FRA... or just don't really bother with the lounge and enjoy your time in Germany.

Arrival Lounge in FRA

Related question to the topic: Arriving BKK-FRA on TG in F at 5:30 am. Is there any arrival lounge option?

Not one that is included in your ticket (assuming you are leaving the transfer area at FRA and entering Germany, you could obviously use the Biz/Sen lounges otherwise). The LH FRA Welcome lounge is for arriving LH and UA intercontinental pax only and doesn't include access for TG F.

There are shower facilities available at FRA for the public at relatively low cost.

Royal First will be soon also my first try. I avoided Royal first because some of my colleagues told me Royal silk has much better food
Because this is my first time I have some question to all of you. I will come to Frankfurt from a very crazy survival trip. I will reach Frankfurt from bush by train. I'll be in FRA around 12:30pm and...
1. Can I check-in with other people who are flying TG921 even my flight is later. Iam flying TG923.

2. I got infromation, my night flight will be opereated on A340-600. Any information how looks like F cabin? Is it still 90' or TG changed all seats to new? THAI told me aircraft can be change to B747 and i hope to not Thepprasit

3. How many courses do they have for a dinner in F class? I heard that in Thai first give you small portions and after dinner you still feel hungry. Compare to Royal Silk I always get big portions but depends of flight. If is it full flight in Silk class instead of 6 pieces of cheese i get only 2 pieces of yellow cheese and one brie and the rest is green staff. So i prefer small TG planes instead of A380. The service is not equal when the flight is full.

4. Anybody counted people in F, how many of them wore pyjamas? In my opinion it looks little bit silly but i would like to try everything

5. Does THAI have shaving stuff in F toilet? (SQ has even in business class toilets)

6. What is happening after arrival to BKK? I only know TG pick you up from gate. I only know Fast track immigration but Do you have any fast track customs?

7. Somebody told me TG can arrange for you a car to you hotel destination. Free or not for free? How about Pattaya?

8. How about tipping problem? I mean the ground staff. When do you usually tip First class ground staff? or you dont tip anybody?

9. How looks like check-in in BKK?

10. Lot of you said there is complimentary massage at Royal first lounge. Do you tip these ladies as well? Do you take something extra to change yourself in the lounge after Thai massage?

11. How about food in the Royal First Lounge? Is there any menu like in a restaurant or you just pick up something from lounge bistro counter?

Thank you for answering me. Links to your first class reports welcome. Since iam also travel blogger i would like to see some of yours blogs about First class

The LH F access is history. No more LH F to/ex BKK. Swiss? I don't know.

Here is a picture of the FC cabin. I have not heard anything about changing to B747. I did hear TG is cancelling flight 923 after 1 DEC.

I only flew TG first once, 5 out of the 6 pax changed into PJs (including me). It was an overnight flight BTW.

The TG Staff stayed with us even at luggage claim. We dismissed him at that time. Custom was not any issue with us even without the TG staff.

We didn’t tip anybody.

You sit down on a sofa, a staff takes your checked luggage and passport. Another staff brings you a wet towel and cool drinks. The first staff returns with your boarding pass. Another staff escorts you through security and immigration and drives you on a golf cart to the FC lounge/Spa. A staff will again drive you from the lounge to the gate area.

We did tip the massage lady at the spa.

Food is good but not great. Sample food items are displayed. You order the food. Then the server brings the food to you at the dining table or sitting area.

LX still have F; I guess LH HON will still have access to TG F lounge.
I arrived on a OS flight in BKK recently and the only HON member on board got picked up at the gate and escorted through immigration fast track and his luggage handled

I try to answer the other questions and where I see it differently than CAPT Tee
1. yes no problem to check in any time before your flight from 0430 in the morning
2. A340-600 has full flat single seats in F for a long time; same seats as on 747 10 seats configuration; if you want to know more look at the sticky thread about planes and seats in this Forum
3. snack or savoury still served on ground together with the DOM, Caviar, starter, main course, cheese and fruits, dessert; so 6 courses; if this is not enough you can repeat certain courses or eat some snacks
4. sometimes more than 50% of the F passengers wear Pyjamas sometimes less; definitely more male passengers wear them then females; for day flights only few wear
5. have; you can ask for if they are not in the toilets
6. Pick you up from gate, drive you in the cart (if you do not arrive at a gate close to immigration like D2 - 5) to immigration, accompany through fast track, porter who pick up your luggage and carry it through normal customs (no fast track but usually there is no queue there) to the transportation of your choice: taxi, limousine, pick up, sky train
7. was once free for Bangkok and area; not anymore
8. no tip expected from ground staff
9. perfectly written up by CAPT Tee, except last part as you are usually not driven to the gate anymore, just accompanied. exceptions are made if gate is far away
10. no tip expected
11. you can choose from a menu (in the past on a iPad, recently from normal menu) or choose from the display. food is ok but not outstanding. the club sandwich is good. the thai food is too bland for me
